Institution's international strategy.

The Institut Cendrassos Mobility Project has just started in the academic year 2014-2015. We are a small HE institution that only offers two short cycles. Nevertheless, the mobility project is one of most important challenges of our institution.

Our geographical position gives us a lot of opportunities. We are placed in a multilingual area, in the NE of Catalonia (Spain). Both Spanish and Catalan are the official languages. As well, the French border is close to us, so the French language is videly used in our area. Furthermore, our land is a touristic destination, so a lot of languages are spoken here.

We are a member of the Mobility Network created by the Regional Ministry Education that is composed by Mobility Coordinators of different High Schools, Principals and Ministry staff. There we share experiences and the best practices with other institutions similar to ours and the Regional Ministry Education gives us information about mobility and cooperation projects..

A mobility commission was created at the beginning to define our mobility strategy. This is a step by step strategy:

    • Student traineeship mobility.
    • Staff mobility.
    • Studies mobility.

All of them in both directions, incoming and outgoing. The number of people engaged in this project will increase year by year.

For each step we need abroad partners. We want to find peer partners. So, we will choose partners that can offer us some companies where our students can carry out their traineeship and staff and studies mobility opportunities in the future. So, they must be high-schools or small universities that offer courses similar to ours.

Since the knowledge of languages of students are different depending on which short cycle they are studying, our target areas are different for each one:

    • Administration and Finance: France or French speaking countries and the UK, Ireland or countries where English is the second language.
    • Web Applications Development: the UK, Ireland or countries where English is the second language.

The main objectives of our mobility project are two. Firstly, to offer our students and staff, the opportunity to learn and practice foreign languages and to know other cultures and people. Secondly, to know the best practices of other HE institutions and companies which they will be able to apply after mobility in our HE institution and/or in the companies where they will work in the future. These two objectives will give them personal and professional experience that will improve their skills and qualifications.

At the end of each academic year the mobility commission will evaluate the impact of the mobility project and the progress of our plan. If applicable, correction measures will be implemented. After that, the scope of the mobility project for the next academic year will be defined.


Institution's strategy for the organisation and implementation of international cooperation projects.

Erasmus+ is the main framework of our mobility strategy.

Despite the fact that we are a little HE institution without mobility experience, we would like to cooperate in Erasmus+ projects related with our short cycles (Administration and Finance, Web Application Development) and other subjects such as to use English as the communication language to teach other subjects or new teaching methodologies. When possible, under the supervision of Regional Ministry of Education.


Expected impact of our participation in the Erasmus+ Programme.

The mobility project is one of most important challenges of our institution because we are convinced of its positive impact in our institution and our partner companies.

The knowledge of other cultures, languages, new teaching methodologies and the best practices of foreign institutions and companies will help us to improve our teaching quality and the performance of our students and staff.

The Erasmus+ Program is an opportunity for us to become partners with similar institutions around the EU; exchanging students, staff and companies where the traineeship will be carried out. Starting cross-border cooperation projects where HE institutions and companies will be involved.

We expect to improve our teaching quality by sharing experiences with other institutions using methods like job shadowing or teaching exchange. This positive impact will increase the attainment levels of our staff and students which will raise the performance of the companies where our students will work in the future

Finally, the exchange of systems of governance and funding, support applications and tools will help us and our partners to improve the effectiveness of our management strategies and financing sources.
